31 Essential Oils in 31 Days Series: Day 8 Spotlight Protective Blend!

Day 8: Protective Blend!

Protective  Blend is one of my favorite blends.  Made from Wild Orange Peel, Clove Bud, Cinnamon Bark, Eucalyptus leaf, and Rosemary, it smells wonderful and reminds me of the holidays.

Protective Blend supports healthy immune function.

I also use the protective blend in my classroom.  I teach a Teacher Education program and my students regularly go to elementary schools though out Salt Lake City for their practicum experiences. I love that my using Protective Blend in my classroom gives them an extra layer of immunity.  I have a small bottle of distilled water with 15 drops of Protective Blend that I use to clean the desks and door knobs.  I also diffuse 3-4 drops in my classroom diffuser during the winter as well as keep a small bottle of homemade Protective Blend spray in the front of the room for the students to use at their leisure.  (small 30-50ml spray bottle with 15 drops of Protective Blend)  I love essential oils in the classroom!

The most common way to apply this protective blend (depending on what you are trying to relieve) is to massage onto the throat, stomach area and bottoms of feet.  I prefer the bottom on feet for children due to the possibility of being too caustic on sensitive skin.  As with all oils, dilute Protective Blend with FCO (Fractionated Coconut Oil) to make sure you are not sensitive the first time you apply.

Be sure to try other products in the Protective Blend line including beadlets, cleaning concentrate, toothpaste, hand soap, throat drops (my favorite!) and more.
