Natural Liquid Laundry Detergent

Move over store bought laundry detergent-this homemade version is awesome!

I love this detergent as it is nontoxic, great for my sensitive skin, saves me money and smells great!

Ingredients:

2 cups warm water
1 cup baking soda
1/3 cup glycerin
1 ounce liquid castile soap
15 drops essential oil of your choice (I use Invigorating  Blend, Lavender and/or Cleansing Blend essential oils)

Combine all ingredients in a large glass container (a heavy duty plastic container will work, but avoid with citrus oils as they should not be stored in plastic). Shake container well prior to using.

Use 1/4 cup of detergent per normal size of load. I use 1/2 cup if my load is extra large or the clothes are especially dirty.

  1. An all-natural detergent. I love it! Tired of supporting big corporations.

  2. The ingredients only add up to like 18 loads right? Do you think the stability of the detergent would be okay for me to triple or quadruple the recipe for my large family? THANKS!!

    1. Hi Kaila, Yes that is correct. I think you would be just fine to even quadruple the recipe-less work too later on! :)
