Oil #5 of 31--Lemon!
Lemon is one of the most versatile oils of the
collection.
As I sit to write this I am not sure where to start. We can
all benefit from using lemon oil. I would say it definitely is one we should
all should have in our collection.
Considered to be one of the most popular citrus fruit…
It can act as a calming agent to lesson stress and
mental exhaustion. Add 5 drops to
diffuser or just a couple of drops to a nice warm bath.
It is great for the skin and acts as a detoxifying
astringent. Dilute a few drops with ½ a
cup of water and apply with a cotton ball.
Looking for a non-chemically toxic option to clean your house – Lemon it is! Just add 5 drop to a glass spray bottle and fill with water.
Needing a gentle digestive boost or aid in your weight loss
journey you can turn to lemon along with exercise and proper diet – Add a
couple drops to tall glass of water.
Lemon is a wonderfully refreshing addition to recipes. Here
is one you will want to try this week!
Here is an immune support drink that includes apple cider vinegar, Lemon and doTerra's OnGuard Protective Blend essential oils. It is an excellent drink to have when you first get up in the morning or anytime you want to maintain your immune system.
This drink provides a natural energy boost.
- Juice of 1 large organic lemon
- 16 ounces of purified cold or hot water
- 2 drops Lemon essential oil
- 2 drops OnGuard Protective Blend
- 1 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
- 2 tsp. maple syrup (or sweetener of choice)
Mix all ingredients together with a spoon and drink. This makes 2 servings, but drinking 16 ounces of water first thing in the morning is very beneficial!
I think with all of its uses (and we have just barely
touched on them here) I could use a gallon size bottle of lemon essential oil.
Good thing a little goes a long way. Not to mention it is VERY affordable.
If you have not already - I hope that you bring lemon into your life!
