31 Essential Oils in 31 Days Series: Day 29 Black Pepper!

Day 29--Black Pepper!

Black Pepper is best known as a common cooking spice that enhances the flavor of foods, but its internal and topical benefits are equally noteworthy.

Black Pepper supports healthy circulation both externally and internally, but should be used with caution when applied topically due to its strong warming sensation. It can also help support a healthy digestion or get things moving when that is needed.

This essential oil is delicious for flavoring food and I love it in my homemade salsa, salads or roasted meat dishes. All you need is a toothpick dipped in it--it lasts a long time!

This oil can be diffused to promote a calm and relaxed mood. I love to diffuse it with a citrus essential oil such as Wild Orange or Citrus Bliss Invigorating Blend. Topically diluted with a carrier oil, it can help reduce muscle soreness.
