My Natural Homemade Deodorant Recipe

Here is a recipe I use at home that is all natural and smells wonderful!

Ingredients:

1/2 cup baking soda
1/2 cup arrowroot
1/2 cup virgin coconut oil
10 drops Cleansing Blend essential oil blend
10 drops Invigorating Blend essential oil blend, Lavender, Grounding Blend, or Wild Orange.

Melt the coconut oil in a pan over low heat. Pour the oil into a bowl with the arrowroot powder, baking soda and essential oils. Cleansing Blend is well known for helping to eliminate odors. I usually use the Invigorating Blend as it is my favorite oil to smell and always improves my mood.

Lavender and Wild Orange are also great alternatives. These oils are fairly inexpensive so this is a homemade deodorant you can use that saves you money!

  2. I am on my second day using a similar recipe. I can't believe how soft my underarms are already--shaving was so easy and not rough.

  4. I make a similar one, but will try less baking soda next time...the first natural deodorant that actually works for me! I use shea butter too, and the creaminess is a huge bonus!

  5. Try adding vegetable glycerin to make it creamier. This worked very well for me.

  6. Do you just leave it in the bowl and apply with hand?

  8. Essential oils can add different fragrances to your deodorant. With enough experimentation you could even make men's, women's or unisex deodorant.PrimitiveOutpost
